Choosing a memorial
Following a funeral it can be important to have a lasting memorial to the person who has died.
We can help you with selecting a gravestone which we will have made to your exact requirements. Our comprehensive brochure shows many different styles and colours of stones. It may be that one of these is suitable, alternatively we can design something based on your ideas, or perhaps from a picture of a suitable memorial you have seen.
You will have to decide on the text which is to be inscribed on the stone. Again we can assist you with the wording, making sure that the text reads well and allows for future family members to have their details added if applicable.
To proceed with your order we will need to have:
- The details of the stone design you have selected
- The text to be insribed
- The details of the lair where the stone is to be errected.
We will then provide you with a quote and sketch proof showing exactly how the text will be laid out and the fonts used. After confirmation of the order the stone is normally in place within 6-8 weeks.
Stones can be personalised in many ways either with special designs, pictures or images.
Following cremation, an entry can be placed in the memorial book at the crematorium. This is arranged directly with Aberdeen City Council via their bereavement office on 01224 522485.
